    Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop measurement for early childhood teachers’ belief in creativity character education. For this purpose, the researchers in this study surveyed 173 early childhood teacher. Elements in creativity and character were extracted and combined organically through literature reviews and following expert councils. Preliminary questionnaires were developed based on the result above, and their reliability was analyzed. The results of the study are as follows. First, creativity and character are comprised of 2 domains and 27 elements: 11 elements in ‘thought and cognition’, 16 elements in ‘attitude/behavior and disposition’, and 29 items. Second, the reliability of this measurement was high in general; .94 in ‘seeking alternatives’, .93 in ‘putting into action’, and .92 in ‘being concerned about problems’. Total reliability of this measurement was .96. The developed measurement in this study is expected to be used for early childhood education teachers to check their own belief in creativity character education and be a basic study for developing teachers’ creativity character programs.
